What’s new for 2026
2026 Shadow Toolbar Upgrades: Built to Flex, Built to Last
For 2026, we’ve made meaningful upgrades to our Shadow Toolbars. Improvements driven by real-world field conditions, customer feedback, and our commitment to continuous refinement. These updates are designed to increase flexibility, reduce maintenance, and improve durability across long days and rugged terrain. The following enhancements apply to our Conventional DW, DW Coulter/Shank Split Bar, and Triple Rank Shadow Toolbars.
Hinge Improvements for Maximum Flex
One of the most significant upgrades for 2026 is the addition of underslung hinges on the inboard wings. This new hinge design allows the toolbar to better follow changing terrain, maintaining consistent ground contact across the entire width of the machine. This new hinge allows for an impressive 20° downflex!

The outboard wings with their improved design offers an upgrade in flex from 5° to a 10° flex. This hinge is now greaseless, adding to the large amount of greaseless spots on the Shadow to help keep that maintenance time down, and your time in the field up.

These combinations deliver exceptional adaptability in uneven or rolling fields. With these changes, the Shadow Toolbar now offers more flex than any comparable toolbar on the market today, helping operators maintain accuracy and performance where it matters most.

Alien Sealers: Greaseless, Maintenance-Free Pivots
We’ve also upgraded the row unit pivot points with Alien Sealer hubs. These sealed hubs eliminate the need for daily greasing, creating a truly maintenance-free pivot point.
By removing routine lubrication from the equation, Alien Sealers help reduce downtime and simplify daily service checks. Less time spent on maintenance means a faster start to the day, more time in the field, and ultimately, more acres covered when application windows are tight.

Bolt-In Spindles on Heavier Walkers
Durability was another major focus for 2026. Our Shadow Toolbars now feature bolt-in spindles on upgraded, heavier walkers. This design allows the walkers to support larger, heavier hubs and wheels, improving overall strength and longevity.
The result is a toolbar that holds up better under long hours, heavier loads, and tough field conditions—making it a reliable choice for operators who don’t quit when the day gets long or the ground gets rough.

Why We Keep Improving
At Dalton Ag, improvement isn’t a one-time update—it’s an ongoing process. As a shortline manufacturer, we have the flexibility to listen, adapt, and implement changes faster than the big guys. While larger manufacturers may leave designs unchanged for years, we’re continually refining our equipment to meet real-world demands.
That’s what sets the Shadow Toolbar apart—and it’s why we’ll keep pushing forward. We build, test, and improve because we’re the experts, and because your success in the field depends on it.
